The STRRA President, Jimmy Henry, and all of the 2011 Directors would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our sponsors for the 2011 season. HEB came on board with a large contribution and we definitely appreciate it. Once again, Twisted X Boots donated countless pairs of boots to the cowboys throughout the year. And, the evidence can really be seen when you walk around any of the ranch rodeos since many of the cowboys are wearing them! Morales Feed gave gift certificates at every STRRA sanctioned rodeo and that was greatly appreciated by the cowboys in this rough year thanks to the drought. Triple R Rodeo played a big part as well throughout the year. We would also like to give many thanks to all of the people who helped make the finals such a success. The South Texas Ranch Rodeo Association will be holding its finals in Cotulla, Texas, on October 22, 2011.  Along with the rodeo, a “Cowboy Christmas in October” event will be taking place.  We are actively looking for vendors who like to cater to country folk.  Please look at the flyer if you are interested in booth space for arts, crafts, etc.  (Click on flyer to enlarge.)

The Hotter Than Hell Ranch Rodeo held in Pleasanton, Texas, lived up to its name once again with over 100+ temp. Congrats to Rancho Seco for being crowned the Champions and South Texas Cattle Marketing the Reserve Champions.

The Tilden Lions Club Labor Day Ranch Rodeo will be taking place this coming Saturday, Sept 3rd. Things will get started Saturday morning at 9am with three events and the top 6 teams will come back at 7pm for the finals. Good luck to all of the teams!!!!

The Junction Ranch Rodeo was held on Aug 12 & 13.  For those of you who haven’t heard Jim Gates, Triple R Rodeo Producer, was injured at the rodeo during the calf branding. Jim was airlifted to San Antonio where he underwent emergency surgery and had surgery again on Aug 18. He will be headed home soon and we all wish him a speedy recovery. The STRRA encourages everyone to take a minute and send him and Shanna a prayer. Correspondence can also be sent to info@strra.com.

Congratulations to Solomon Cattle Co for winning the Ring of Fire Ranch Rodeo in Boerne, Texas this past weekend.  Also, congrats to M & M Cattle Co for being the Reserve Champions.
